Pawse is a browser extension that places a small icon in the corner of the page. After an idle delay it plays a gentle, fully reversible visual effect over the page you are viewing, then restores everything the moment you interact again. This policy explains exactly what data Pawse does — and does not — handle.
None. Pawse does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or browsing data. There are no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no user accounts.
Pawse saves only your own preferences locally in your browser (via chrome.storage):
This data stays in your browser. If you are signed in to your browser, it may sync across your own devices through the browser's built-in sync — it is never sent to us.
Effects animate a transparent overlay on top of the current page. Page text and content are never read, copied, transmitted, or stored. Mouse and keyboard events are used only locally to detect whether you are idle; they are not recorded or sent anywhere.
If — and only if — you choose to activate Pawse Pro, the license key you enter is sent
to the payment provider's public verification API (Gumroad, api.gumroad.com,
or Lemon Squeezy) solely to confirm your purchase is valid. Only the license key is sent;
no browsing data or personal information is included. Users who never purchase Pro never
trigger any network request. The payment itself is handled entirely by the provider on
their own website; Pawse never sees your card or payment details. See the provider's
